Very little fanfare around this plant at the nursery, and I have no idea why. The Trachelium aka Blue Throatwort, is one I'd never heard of before this spring as I sought to supplement the backdrop of my south fence in our backyard garden, and it's purple is simply stunning. It's also not only evergreen, it reached it's full 4' height in just a few months, which was so rad! Butterflies are supposed to love it, so now comes the wait as we reach the midst of summer and the winged wildlife have begun to flock our way...
