Oh the classic Shasta Daisy. I loooooove them so much and they are terribly easy to grow, not to mention divide and add to other areas of the garden if they get too big. When we moved to our last place, I instantly recognized the shrub on the corner of the house even without its blooms, took a shovel to it to dig out half of it, and popped it in the backyard. Voila, two Shasta Daisies! Now I did learn that the ducks liked to snack on them early in the season, but once they got to the 3-4' in height that this variety is known for, they ended up using it for summer shade rather than springtime snacks! So when we got here, it was a no-brainer to snag a few different varieties of daisy to add to the garden. After all, what's a better surprise than a handful of fresh picked daisies from your true love?
