The hibiscus is blooming! I've fallen in love with them over the years, first seeing a Rose of Sharon bush of them back in Portland and then, after seeing a huge tree-like one a neighbor on our street has gorgeously in bloom last year, we immediately bought two this spring, putting one where our gnarly horrible sumac used to be, and this one in the raised bed by the back door, as it seems to really love the morning sun / hot-afternoon-shade vibe of our back patio which is pretty cool.
But more importantly? Look at that purple, y'all...
