Last year my husband and I created a new tradition: buy one "cool plant" we wouldn't ordinarily invest in, something to broaden our horizons and teach us a lil something. Last year it was this gorgeous 'Dr Moy' Ornamental Ginger, also known as a ginger lily. Named after the late plant guru at the San Antonio Botanic Garden, in winter, this one dies all the way back...making you feel like you have definitely killed your expensive potted plant! But amazingly, in spring, it comes back and returns to its beautiful 4-ft high state, and in September will add beautiful peach blooms. I would have never heard about this so I'm grateful for Bellevue Nursery for having this lovely for sale.
