Planted by seed in early spring as instructed, I assumed these were Dead Seeds Walking when by May they still hadn't germinated. Then what I thought were cosmos began to spring forth in abundance, and this week as they bloomed for the first time I realized - what, that's my nigella!
Our neighbors behind us in our last house had a great corner lot with these sprinkled amongst their parking strip plants, and I made a promise to myself to remember to add it in and see what happens. So far - so good! Also known as 'love in a mist', they definitely have me in love....
