With the ups and downs of this past year weather-wise, the first lemon verbena I planted appear to be close to kicking the bucket by early summer, so I quickly tossed a few more into the ground and, thankfully, they proceeded to - albeit late - explode by late summer.
Now here we are in October and they are in bloom and everything in the garden feels like, well, behind schedule. But the scent of these lovelies? Unforgettable. And being in Zone 8 that often acts like Zone 7? We'll take what we can get from this plant, just two weeks before our traditional first frost date...
