Lemon Basil became one of my accidental favorites when, after some crazy weather hit a bunch of my sensitive pepper plants, I literally emptied an entire packet of lemon basil seeds in its place, wishing it luck then pretty much ignoring it. Well, needless to say it was prolific and I was making many many pints of pesto, dehydrating it, AND giving it away to neighbors! Plus doesn't it look gorgeous in a vase, waiting to be plucked for a recipe?
