Harvest: Italian Sweet Pepper - “Gatherer’s Gold"

While this year's pepper crop is modest to put it lightly, the smaller (corno di toro) varieties of Italian sweet pepper I planted have proven to be very tasty and lovely for frying in particular. This one is not a heirloom variety but one that was grown by the local planet-friendly farmers at Sunseed Organic, and while the harvest was not abundant, I'll definitely be keeping these Italians on the list for next spring (as the new soil I've been making myself for the fall/winter crops has already proven to be a significant improvement from the organic potting soil we'd bought at the big box store this past fall/spring).
