It's not terribly exciting...but there are a few grapes just turning purple on the vine in this first year!
Do these concords taste good? Kinda. Did I not notice until THIS WEEK that this particular variety is far better suited for sweetness in areas with longer growing seasons and hotter weather? Yup. Do I know what I'm going to do next based on this info? Nope - not sure. It's sweet and sour but quite seedy. I've never grown grapes before and just followed the directions for growing them in large pots so...we'll see how these survive the winter. The vines definitely did not grow hugely like I'd hoped, but in year one, we must always chill out and be more of an observer when it comes to our gardens.
After all, we're ALL amateurs when it comes to growing things...no matter what anyone tries to claim.
