Yeah, harvesting blackberries in October, it's weird. We got a few on this new bush in July, then everything stopped, then a few weeks ago it a handful or two's worth appeared on the vine and that was it. But the berries are delicious, and dang - look how HUGE the one on the top right is! This Black Satin variety is thornless, which makes things a LOT easier when it comes not only to picking, but to wrapping the new canes around the trellis. It's supposed to be great for cold hardiness, so for the predicted second cold winter in a row, we should be good for a much improved harvest in 2025.
