Gardenia

While I've been growing gardenias for about a decade, it's always been with fingers crossed and gratitude when even one bloom showed up on the plant...because I've always planted them in the ground here in the (fairly) mild Pacific Northwest. When we came back to the city, I decided to buy one and keep it in the pot, then overwinter it indoors. What a difference!!! Gardenias love morning sun and afternoon shade in a sheltered spot, so it's got the prime corner location on our back patio...and is loving it. Let the blooming begin!
