Floristan Violet

It has not even fully bloomed but I couldn't help but photograph it as it emerged. My husband picked this out at the nursery and planted it amongst the wildflower seeds he sowed in early spring along with the gladiolus and dahlia bulbs I planted, and it's emerged nearly 4' tall and adding some really unique interest to the backyard garden. It's already got the bees' attention, and with the fact that it appreciates moist soil, the 'wet feet' section of our garden will continue to flourish with color.
