Brand new to our garden repertoire is the Culver's Root. Not exactly a cool title for such a lovely ornamental that's ultimately supposed to reach up to 6' in height in our backyard garden (it's now a little over 3') and have a lavender tinge to attract even more pollinators. Kind of alien-like, and not far from it we also are awaiting it's red cousin to bloom soon.
When I was at the nursery there were no photos on the plant tags, so I ended up searching online and was pleasantly surprised - along with its unusual beauty, it can take wet feet (yay!) and adds some nice height near our raised beds as well. Definitely worth it to bring your phone along when you're at the nursery, as something not having a photo can ultimately be a really cool addition to your garden!
