The fourth of the five varieties of cosmos seeds I planted, "Double Click Cranberries", has burst forth into bloom in a hurry...and in places I forgot I'd scattered them! It's always a struggle to cut back beautiful flowers whne they're blocking the light from smaller plants, even though you know it needs to happen, ya know? A once thrilled-to-be-there pawpaw is now looking sad...will it survive the cosmos onslaught? I don't know. So I'm thinning it in hopes the dappled light will suffice til fall...but saving seeds no matter what for next year.
