Coreopsis: “Santa Fe"

As one gardening site said about Coreopsis, "just give it some sun and sit back and watch the show". So true. This little bitta sunshine is also known (unfortunately in my opinion) as Tickseed. Ew. So we use the Latin name instead! They have always been super reliable in the garden ever since planting them near my driveway back in P-town, and the only time I ever had trouble with them was when our ducks snacked on them almost down to the ground - which just means they can only be planted in our front garden with the other drought tolerant blooms...but I can deal. So much so in fact I have three different varieties in front, with this pure yellow Santa Fe variety being the first to bloom as we approach the start of summer. Bring it on!
