It's that time of year - the echinacea is back! This classic "Ruby Star" variety of this perennial is one of my favorites, and always makes me happy to look at them in their various stages of blossom.
Super low maintenance and always a show stopper in bouquets and in the garden - not to mention a big hit with the bees and others, the hardest part for me is remembering when to *stop* deadheading them in the fall since I know their seed heads are so nice for the birds come winter...
