I am SO stoked that this baby is blooming! Originally spotted while out and about, I special ordered this from Joy Nursery in Scappoose, Oregon, and planted it on our farm. However, it was quickly overwhelmed by the nearby cosmos and when we sold the farm, I rescued it and brought it up here to the Emerald City and gave it a place of honor in the direct center of our backyard , unencumbered by faster-growing plants. It's now bursting with these super cool blooms and inviting the local bees to come check it out. While it's nearly tripled in size since planting to about 30" high, it's reportedly got the potential to hit six feet or more in height. How rad is that...
