When we downsized to the city, this time my old stomping grounds of Seattle, we were thrilled that when we transported our bees up here that they were THRIVING. So much so that they swarmed and we didn't have an extra box for them, and the leftover young queen ultimately didn't become strong enough to fend off the evil ones who ultimately killed off our hive. Beekeeping is beautiful and heartbreaking...
