The first of our bee balms is up and blooming!
In our front garden, which the hummingbirds of the neighborhood are starting to discover, this is one more treat for them to enjoy. I've normally only had the red ones but decided to branch out for this brilliant pink one, and am so glad I did. Now I made the mistake of planting it far too close to our hydrangea before it went into bloom, so it's a bit crawded, and putting it in our drought tolerant section when it actually likes being watered, but it's - as I like to say after planting any new variety for the first time - a victory because it's alive and in bloom!
