One of my favorite moments in Spring is when our alliums burst into full bloom. From nothing inside the pots on our deck on winter, to these long tall beautiful puffs of pinkish-purple (not, ironically, all that blue...), to drying on the stem at the end of the season, they add so much to the garden...with so little upkeep!
