Agastache Hyssop: "Blue Boa"

Oy vey ! This Blue Boa - AKA Giant Hyssop - went nuts this spring...so much so that when we got a bunch of rain for a couple days a few weeks back, it started to sag from the weight and we had to temporarily stake them!

One of the things I love best about hyssops, though, is that they flower all summer long here. While some flowers like the nearby alliums come and go, these gals give the color for months and months. Plus? They are drought tolerant, which I adore (as even here in the Pacific Northwest, our summers are very dry).

New fact for me? Hyssop is part of the Mint family, and its leaves can be subbed in smaller amounts for it in recipes - click here for some culinary uses!
